4H @ The Lamb Winter Camp

Attention 4H kids! This winter camp is open to youth ages 8-18 who are already in 4H or planning to join. At the time of registration, participants will choose a crochet or knitting project to create and submit for the Keith County Fair. Crochet Artist Jody Ziola and store owner Kate Wright will provide personalized guidance throughout the camp, while Tessa Reece, Assistant Extension Educator with the UNL Extension Office, will ensure all projects meet Fair requirements and assist with completing the project entry forms.


Details:

  • Ages: 8-18
  • What to Expect: Hands-on guidance to complete a fair-ready project.
  • Supplies: Project Kits are purchased at time of registration that include yarn, crochet hook or knitting needles, stitch markers, snips, darning needle.


Skill Level Prerequisites:

  • Level 2 Class Crochet: Chain, slip stitch, single crochet
  • Level 3 Class Crochet: Level 2 + all essential crochet stitches
  • Level 2 Class Knitting: Cast-on (long tail or knitted), knit and purl stitches
  • Level 3 Class Knitting: Level 2 + knit/purl alternating stitch patterns (rib or seed (moss) stitch)


Join us for a creative and fun-filled camp to showcase your skills at the fair! Online pre-registration is required.
