Hey, curious young readers! Join First Draft Books & Friends of Bovey Tracey Library for an action-packed morning of exploring forbidden places and curious spaces with Sam Sedgman, author of Isaac Turner Investigates series, including The Clockwork Conspiracy and brand-new The Forbidden Atlas.

Sam has fun experiments planned & wacky histories to share with us. He will also read from his latest book, answer all of your questions AND stick around to sign your books. So come along!

Perfect for young readers ages 7+. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets are £3 each for adults and children. All funds go to support Bovey Tracey Library. No refunds or exchanges.

ABOUT SAM

Sam Sedgman is a bestselling author, confirmed nerd and enthusiastic ferroequinologist, with ties to our very own Lustleigh.

Before writing stories for children, Sam worked as a digital producer at the National Theatre, which meant nosing around backstage with a camera and a microphone, cajoling theatre makers into explaining how stories are built. Forever interested in piecing things together, Sam is a lifelong fan of puzzles, games and detective fiction, and once founded a company making murder mystery treasure hunts for adventurous Londoners. His books have been translated into more than twenty languages.

When he isn’t writing, Sam is usually poring over a map to plan his next adventure, devising a treasure hunt for his friends or explaining some weird fact to you. He lives in London, on top of a railway station.
