If you have been around the Historical Society for even a brief moment you have heard the name Don Ross! If you have had the pleasure of being in his company, you have witnessed the sheer number of people who know him from his time as a teacher, coach and newspaper advisor in the Springboro School District.

Don has decided to step down from the Board of the Historical Society. He remains a key part of our story and is ever faithful in sharing his expansive knowledge of Springboro. We can think of no better way to honor his contributions than to create a scholarship in his honor. The Don Ross Award for Excellence consists of a $1,000 scholarships and is open to all public and homeschooled students within the Springboro District who are pursuing a degree in History, Museum Studies, Education or related field. The scholarship can be accessed through the district provided portal. Thank you to Don Ross for your years of dedicated service to both the students of Springboro and to the Historical Society. It is our hope that this scholarship will continue your legacy of excellence.
