Are you interested in learning to sew, but don't know where to start? Maybe you don't even have a machine?
This is a three session course for beginners with little to zero experience.
The class will meet from 6pm to 9pm Tuesday nights
July 9, 16, and 23rd
We will cover:
The basics of sewing - making a flat material into a 3 dimensional form, best practices
Using patterns - what does it all mean?
Using a sewing machine
Participants will make a dimensional tote bag and learn important techniques in the process.
Students should bring one yard of quilting cotton that they like. Everything will be provided, (machines, tools, thread, pins, etc.)
Class will meet for three hours for three sessions for a total of 9 in class hours
Students will learn a lot in a brief time. We have fun, but we focus.
The class takes place at a private teaching space in the Clifton neighborhood of Louisville, KY. Address will be provided to you after you enroll.
Class size is limited to 6 students
