The figure’s back is arched, aching and lamenting. A tortured soul is left naked for all to see. To

the right, is it God or demon towering over with accusing fingers, (branches) pointing

downward? And the river (life) for the rest of the world flows on. We are all judged everyday of

our lives and at the end.
