I love celebrating my city, and here is another illustration highlighting what makes Birmingham special. This time, we visit the quirky/strange/weird side of the city. I created three mascots to lead the tour, all residents of Alabama (and in the case of Dart, the watercress darter, a native Birmingham fish). Red represents the Alabama red-bellied turtle and Gus (derivative of his scientific name) personifies the little brown bat.
