Join our Vineyard family Saturday, March 29th, 2025, for the 5th Annual La Festa Italiana, as we share a fantastic authentic Italian feast. Each year, we take our most popular events and try to make them even better by transforming them into more of an experience, rather than just a tasting or a meal. This year will be even more special because close family friends have asked us to host their wedding this fall. So, this year's La Festa Italiana will be a practice run for the wedding. We will eat like Italians, drink like Italians and then we are going to sing and dance like itβs a wedding.
To make this experience even more like a wedding, the band that played at Lori (Maria's) & Mario's wedding 33 years ago will be performing after dinner on the new stage & dance floor 7-10pm. The Formula Band is not just live music, they are entertainers, so plan on a long night of great food, friends, family, music and dancing.
Again, this year, we will be closing The Vineyard for this party. We will have dinner in the beautiful Tasting AND Tank Rooms. The meal will be a combination of plated and family style.
Saturday, March 29th. Doors open at 5pm. Eight (8) courses beginning with the Aperitivo Course in the almost finished Tuscan Village. The Aperitivo will go from 5-6:30pm. This will be an informal and casual mingling in the new Tuscan Village.
Aperitivo (1st Course): Our evening will begin in the almost completed Tuscan Village where you can knock on the wine window for a glass of wine, mingle with family and friends, and enjoy light snacks of mixed nuts and olives. There will be a table set up in the Tuscan Village to check in, get your table number, and a Wine window drink ticket. (When we visited Italy, they always have nuts and olives as appetizers, along with glass of wine. This is the time to mingle before sitting down to dinner.
Insalata (2nd Course): Sicilian Salade of arugula, mozzarella, fig, stracciatella, aged balsamic, extra virgin olive oil. This course is plated. In Italy, this was served after the meal. But even though that was the authentic way to do it, we are not used to doing it that way in the States. Again, this year, we will do it the Italian American way, which is before the meal.
Antipasti (3rd Course): Vineyard made caponata, eggplant roasted and sauteed in garlic, onions, olive oil and served family style during the Insalata course.
Primi (4th Course): Inspired by one of our Wednesday Pasta Night most popular dishes called Fresca. Penne in creamy parmesan sauce topped with a dollop of our creamy ricotta and basil with a piece of bread. This course is also plated.
Secondi (5th Course): Another Wednesday Pasta Night favorite, Vineyard made Italian sausage with peppers and onions. This course will be served family style by one of our hosts.
Contorni (6th Course): An Italian word meaning mixed vegetables. This course is served right after the main meal. Dandelion sauteed with onions garlic and spices. Served family style.
Dolce (7th Course): Biscotti and Nutella served about 8pm in the Tuscan Village.
Digestive (8th Course): A small drink of Sicilian Limon soda with a splash of white wine to aid in digestion.
Served about 9pm at the Tank Room bar.
The Formula Band will play from 7-10pm. Following the meal, music & dancing!!!!
