This course is an introduction to hand-weaving tapestry on a frame loom. Participants will learn how to dress a frame loom and weave using basic weave structure. Next, we will explore a variety of techniques including slits, dovetail weave, hatching and color blending to experiment with texture, structure and image. Participants will also learn how to design a weaving using a graph paper “cartoon” to guide an image.
