Jefferson County Conservation District's Spring Natural Landscaping course includes three classes (optional fourth class) and two field trips, emphasizing native plants and sustainable landscape design and maintenance practices. Click here to view the course syllabus.
Classroom dates are Tuesdays, April 15, 22, and 29 at the WSU Extension Classroom from 4:00 to 5:30. An optional fourth class will be held Thursday, May 1 at the East Jefferson Fire and Rescue Station in Chimacum from 4:00 to 5:30pm. Course participants are coached through the steps necessary to prepare individualized landscape plans that will conserve water and save time and money, while also enhancing wildlife habitat and biodiversity.
A $15 registration fee covers the cost of reference materials and facility rental. The deadline to register is Friday, April 11. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
